Nemaha County Hospital Physical Therapy Department
strives to be the premier provider of Physical Therapy services in
Auburn and the surrounding communities. We are committed to
providing quality care, every time!
Our services include inpatient,
outpatient and Home Health Care covering a wide variety of

Eric Vrtiska
Eric graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center on
2009 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Eric began working at Nemaha
County Hospital in June of 2009. Eric has 3 brothers and was born
and raised in Beatrice, NE. Eric enjoys the variety of patients he
works with and being able to work in a small town environment. Eric
enjoys hunting, golfing, biking, watching football, hockey, and
basketball.

Kim Hahn
Kim has been with Nemaha County Hospital since 1992. She graduated
from the University of Kansas Medical Center with a Masters in
Physical Therapy. She enjoys the variety of patients she gets to
work with and appreciates being able to spend time with them to help
them reach their goals. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and
friends, running, and volleyball.

Connie Connell
Connie began her career as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 1980. She
joined the Nemaha County Hospital in 2007 where she especially
enjoys treating total joint and stroke patients, as well has the
elderly and Home Health patients. Connie enjoys watching her
grandchildren play sports, reading, traveling with her sister, and
her great love - camping.

Clay Smith
Clay graduated from Washburn University with an Associate of Science
for Physical Therapy Assistant in 1986 and with a Bachelor of Arts
in Athletic Training in 1989. Clay has been at Nemaha County
Hospital and surrounding areas since 1994. Clay especially enjoys
working with shoulder, ankle and ACL injuries. His hobbies include
gardening, traveling, and family time.

Paula Hays
Paula has been with the Nemaha County Hospital Therapy Department
since 2000. Paula enjoys working with the public and staff at NCH
and is a key factor in keeping things running smoothly. She enjoys
baking, walking, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Beth Derrossett
Beth graduated from Colorado State University with dual degrees
(Occupational Therapy and Home Economics). She later received a
certificate from San Jose State University in Vocational Guidance
for the Disabled. Beth is also Graston trained. Beth enjoys helping
people regain the ability to live life to the fullest, especially in
this rural area. When not working she enjoys traveling, reading,
hiking, sewing, and best of all, babysitting her grandchildren.

Wanda Volker
Wanda graduated from the University of Kansas in 1990 with a degree
in Occupational Therapy. Eighteen years of Wanda’s experience has
been treating clients in skilled nursing facilities where she enjoys
interacting with and helping the elderly. Wanda has been with
Midwest Rehab Professional for 5 years. When Wanda is not working,
she enjoys spending time with family, reading, watching Nascar and
sports.
