Nursing Facility
Skilled care is a level of care that allows the facility
to utilize a regular hospital bed in a regular hospital room as a
Skilled Care Bed.
Our hospital offers large private rooms with private bathrooms,
telephone, cable TV, and wireless public internet access in a
one-level facility.
Patients of any age are considered for skilled care. Patients with
private insurance have benefits and guidelines set up by their
carrier. Medicare patients’ skilled care benefits begin after a
hospital stay of at least three overnights on acute care.
Nemaha County Hospital offers the following
Skilled Services:
►IV antibiotic infusions
►Gastric tube feeding
►Wound care, including wound vacs and hydro-therapy
►Pressure ulcer care
►Rehabilitation for joint replacement, back and other surgeries
►Stroke rehabilitation
►Medication adjustment
►Nutritional counseling
►Diabetic teaching
►Occupational therapy
►Speech therapy
